It is super easy to install and has small hooks that go around the vents keeping it locked and secured. You can easily go from vertical to horizontal if so desired. I have a wallet case for my iPhone and it still holds it in place. I like the way you can manually control the tightness in the width with the closing mechanism. The arms open up with one press of a button at the bottom of the unit. You can also adjust the length of the mount as the legs can be extended. You can change the angle with the 360 degree rotation. No problems charging your phone as there's plenty of space for your charging cable. Bottom line here.....for $20 you get a high quality product and get a 2 yr warranty with it......customer service is great too!

I ordered the car vent mount for my 2014 Ford Explorer. The holder seems to be very sturdy and fits my iPhone 12 Pro Max well and seems to be adjustable to any phone size. I explained the situation and they immediately responded again and offered to send me a universal phone mount with a different vent clip as well as a cd mount. It holds great, seems very well built, I've had my first one for about 2 months now in my crazy bouncy Freightliner work truck, and it's flawless. Only put 5 stars for sturdiness because it does have a little jiggle on the road but it's actually more from the vent itself than the holder. The holder is very strong.

Hooked it onto the pull down ashtray in two minutes and took it for a test drive. It was strongly clamped onto the lip of the ashtray and in the perfect spot for viewing the screen.

Customer service has been awesome. My mount came with the vent device that would not work with the vertical vents on my dash. After communicating with customer service and explaining my problem, they sent me the updated vent holder that performs great with my vertical vent (2019 Chevy Equinox). I installed the new device and it holding strong. I'm not 100% pleased with the location, but it would only work in one spot on the vent without being too close to the steering wheel and wiper lever. If this location doesn't work, I'm spend more time to find a more suitable location on the vent that provides better access and viewing.

For the longest time, I used a magnetic disk connected to the CD slot in my car stereo to hold my iPhone6, but this blocked the screen so I couldn't view the time or other information. Now that I have an iPhone 12 Pro Max, I would need to attach a metal plate that would block the ability to use a Qi charger, so I looked for an alternative and found the Andobil Car Phone Holder. It was easy to connect to one of the vents, just to the right of my car stereo. There is a handy gap at the bottom of the holder to allow a charging cable to be connected to bottom of the phone. My phone is in a protective case, but the holding clamps separate far enough even though the case adds bulk. The phone is gripped tightly upon closing the clamps and instantly released with the simple push of a button. I am very happy with this product.
