Best on the market
I bought the original one that sticks to the windshield. It has never failed me or come loose.. This version allows you to stick a pad anywhere in the car. Then connect to it with the locking adjustable arm. Needless to say, that allowed it to be put in my classic bug car.

I have another Andobil holder in my other car but this new design does away with the suction cup for a 3M backing and a locking stand do it's even better than the last one! Only holders I'll ever be buying

Great for the car and for filming!
This may not be what this car phone holder was intended for, but this mount is great for filming videos on your phone! It's super sturdy, and the rotating arm is superb. I am so impressed with this little device. I took me a minute to figure out that the ball joint fits easily into the clamp arm but otherwise it was super easy to set up. This is a game changer for when there is a driver and a passenger that wants to help with directions, because the phone can pivot so easily. Really great invention.

Great Cell Holder
Just got this new andobil cell phone dashboard holder. Works great. Very sturdy well constructed. 3M sticking pad is great. Very versatile. Awesome product.

Holds iPhone 11 securely in place
This cell phone holder works well. The base unit sticks to the dashboard securely. It does not come with a suction cup mount (unfortunately). You have to manually push the sides against the phone to hold it in place. (Some others the sides snap in when you push the phone back against a releast button). The sides are padded which is really nice as it not only provides a firm nonslip grip, but also protects the side of the phone from damage. The bottom "clamp" for lack of a better work is spaced to allow a lightning charger (or other) to fit in so you can charge the phone with a cord while in the holder. The phone can rotate from vertical to horizontal position and seems to stay in place once everything is tightened up. I will say that getting the phone off is a little awkward in how the button/level works to release the side grips, but not so odd that I wouldn't consider getting this again. It seems to work great, maybe just takes a little time to get used to this version of the release mechanism.
